Project Launch: The Glasgow-based Intellectual Assets Centre has partnered with Metis Partners to launch an exciting new project looking at how Scotland's investment and finance community view the role of key performance and valuation indicators based around intangible assets (IA) in internal risk assessment processes. The six-month project will see representatives from Scottish banks, business angels, venture capitalists, private equity firms and cash flow providers meet on a monthly basis to discuss and establish which IA indicators would be considered to be part of a business model and represent a suitable risk management strategy within a company seeking funding.

Corporate Recovery: Metis Partners' innovative service for UK insolvency practitioners has continued to deliver unexpected financial returns for our clients through the sale of intangible assets and intellectual property from insolvent companies. Recent successful deals have involved the sale of brands (including company names, customer databases, UK trade marks and associated design materials). See Shimmer UK case study link.

Due Diligence: Metis Partners was asked to provide a snapshot commercial due diligence report on the Glasgow-based technology firm Pivotal Integration Ltd. The report was provided to support and inform the acquisition of the business and its assets out of administration.

Additional news: Metis Partners was proud to support Radio Lollipop's 'Lollipopadum fundraiser' in September. Radio Lollipop is a charity organisation which gives young patients a voice and a choice during their stay, allowing them to request their favourite songs, win prizes and hear their own voices on the radio. The event, held at the Ashoka Curry Karaoke Club in Glasgow, successfully raised almost £20,000 for the charity.
